What Is Web Design?

Website design actually means the creation, planning and the updating of websites. Website design may also include website structure, information architecture, navigation ergonomics, colors, contrasts, website layout together with the icon design.

When such design elements are put together, websites are formed. Most of the times the meaning of design is taken as a visual aspect only but website design involve even more abstract elements like ergonomics, usability, navigation logic, user habits and many other things that simplify the use of websites while assisting you to find the information even faster.

In simple words website designing is the process of creating websites. It includes different aspects which may also involve web page layout, graphic design and content production. Since the terms web development and web design are mostly used interchangeably, web design is technically the subject of the wider category of web development.
